Let’s Talk About Getting Uncomfortable

So, we all hear the cliche’ “if you aren’t uncomfortable then you aren’t growing.” Well, that’s one cliche’ that is true and one that I stand by…

I know that I laugh and joke often but one thing that I am very serious about is growth and change. I don’t believe in staying in the same place for too long, I believe that being too comfortable for too long is a bad thing, I believe you should challenge yourself in various areas of your life…PERIOD!

I strongly believe that we can be whoever we want to be, we can change our circumstances as long as we are putting our best foot forward. I’m not talking about talking a good game, I’m talking about genuinely doing the BEST that you can to make change happen. One thing I never wanted to be was broke…

So, in order for that to happen I had to go through some things to show me what broke felt like…that way I’d never go back…this is what I’d like to call humbling experiences. We all go through humbling experiences, if you have been through one by now…wait on it, it’ll come…it’s inevitable.

We get too comfortable at work, in business, in friendships, in relationships, etc. It’s time to stop…it’s time to get uncomfortable so that you can grow into the person you want to be. When you are always doing the same things over and over again you will get the same results…

We all know doing the same thing over and over again but expecting a different result is called INSANITY!

I’m not sure about you but at some point I want to attain better and greater results than what i’m currently getting. Therefore, I have to do something different in order to get different results and so do you. You have to make up your mind that you want change and pursue it.

So! Make yourself uncomfortable…

Take time to brainstorm what can you start doing to make yourself uncomfortable. Think of some areas you’d like to grow in and begin to do things you’ve never done before to get you to the next level.

Let me know what your experiences have been with getting uncomfortable by responding to this post! I’d love to hear from you.

Side Note: when you have humbling experiences you will look just like the featured image on this post…looking like…”Ohhh meeee??? this is happening to me???”
